The obligations in a florist's shop include :
Unwrapping the flower stock
Spraying the flowers and conditioning the plants
Pricing goods and building attractive displays of stock.
Attending to consumers and telephone calls
Completing and delivering orders and making designs for the store
Keeping the store clean and neat
Keeping a work record
Regularly creating new arrangements for the store window display.
Training as a florist
Some community colleges conduct classes in floral design. If you're truly set on training as a florist, all you need to begin with is to be keen to learn. Many florists start off as apprentices in flower shops.
